We are seeking a skilled and reliable Building Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and upkeep of our facilities, including mechanical systems, electrical systems, plumbing, building structures, and grounds. This role requires strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Salary: $20- $22 per hour
Location: Missouri
Shift Time: 7am-3:30pm Monday-Friday
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as inspecting, cleaning, and repairing mechanical equipment (e.g., HVAC systems, boilers, pumps).
- Conduct electrical repairs and troubleshooting, including repairing lighting fixtures, switches, and outlets.
- Address plumbing issues, such as leaks, clogs, and pipe repairs.
- Perform carpentry work, including repairing doors, windows, and building structures.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Monitor and maintain building security and safety measures, including fire alarm systems and emergency exits.
- Coordinate and oversee maintenance projects, including scheduling contractors and ensuring work is completed according to specifications.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, and order replacements as needed.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and tenants, and prioritize tasks based on urgency.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in facilities maintenance is a plus.
- Proven experience in facility maintenance, including knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and a focus on quality workmanship.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and perform tasks that require bending, kneeling, and climbing.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols for working with hazardous materials and equipment.
- Class E Driver's License or equivalent required.
